I was not surprised to find that some major employees’ complaints included lack of communication, lack of appreciation, and feeling overworked and underpaid. When a manager played favorites, or micromanaged competent workers, it is the manager who has the problem most of the time. Why? The employer or manager is not aware or does not take into account how temperament-in-business affects the performance of employees. For example, a support staffer like a secretary, writer, or researcher has an emotional temperament value to be appreciated. The typical executive or CEO, formerly called a Type A or achiever temperament-in-business could have the tendency to not appreciate others, and it is not always a deliberate action. Their focus is more on the tasks before them than the people who do the work. This situation is an instant problem that stems from a clashing temperament-in-business.
